About Us

Debbie started collecting antiques in 1970. By 1978 she was “picking” for dealers in Hinsdale, Illinois as well as on the west coast. Since then Debbie and her husband, Jim, have been selling at shows around the country as well as in group shops in Woodstock, Illinois, Delafield, Wisconsin and Minocqua, Wisconsin. In May 2023 they opened their own storefront in downtown Manitowish Waters bringing decades of professional experience in antiques and art to the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

They are members of the New England Appraisers Association and are USPAP compliant.

Debbie has served since 2007 as the Secretary of the Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association and since 2018 as the President of the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association. In addition she has been active with museums and historical societies:

  • Graue Mill, Oak Brook, Illinois, demonstrating spinning & weaving

  • Civil War re-enactress with the Northwest Sanitary Commission (one of the predecessors of the Red Cross)

  • DAR / Daughters of the American Revolution - Past Regent, Kishwaukee Trail Chapter

  • Board Member and founding co-administrator of the Friends of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s fund-raising auctions

  • Board Member of the Crystal Lake (Illinois) Historical Society

  • Various appraisal events for the McHenry County (Illinois) Historical Society, Arlington Heights (Illinois) Historical Society, DAR, PEO, area libraries, and many other entities

Jim specializes in Civil War accoutrements & ephemera, antique firearms and coins. Debbie is considered a generalist, able to advise on a very wide range of antiques & art.

Their son, Jeff, owns Iron Horse Military Antiques in Champaign, Illinois and their daughter, Stacy, has also been active in the antiques business.
