William Uhlinger Pocket Revolver
This is a fine example of the Uhlinger pocket model. This is the 32 caliber rimfire version. It features a 6-shot cylinder, spur trigger, spring-loaded removable ejector rod, and a 5-inch octogonal barrel. Uhlinger marked these revolvers with several different names in order to avoid patent infringement of Smith & Wesson. This example is marked, "D. D. CONE WASHINGTON, D.C." on the top of the barrel. Serial number 2708 is stamped throughout. Iron frame. Hinged plate on right side of frame swings down to allow for loading and ejecting. Attractive, heavily striped walnut grips. Mechanically perfect with nice crisp action. Beautiful, smooth finish on this revolver with very little wear.
